Winter fuel payments can help others

AN Amesbury-based charity is encouraging those who don’t need their winter fuel payment to donate it to support local families.
Home-Start South Wiltshire is asking those who don’t need the allowance, which is paid to pensioners by the government to help pay for heating bills, to consider supporting families and children going through difficult times.
Donations can be made online at homestartsouthwilts.org.uk or by contacting the charity’s office in Amesbury on 01980 676237.
