Have your say on Co-op plan

AMESBURY residents are being invited to have their say on proposals for a new retirement complex in the town.

McCarthy & Stone wants to convert the disused former Co-op into about 35 apartments for older people.

If approved, the scheme will also include retail space that could be one large shop or three smaller units.

On Friday, January 25 there will be a public exhibition at Antrobus House between 3pm and 7pm.

A freephone information line has also been set up so people who are unable to attend the exhibition can learn more on 0800 298 7040.

The company has also set up a website covering its initial proposals which can be found at mccarthyandstoneconsultation.co.uk/amesbury.
