A PLANNING application for a community campus in Tisbury is set to be submitted in the spring or summer this year.

The Tisbury campus team has carried out extensive consultation in the community and held discussions with stakeholder groups likely to be involved in the operation of the campus.

The facility, which will be on the old Nadder School site, will provide space for business units, a learning and skills centre, a state-of-the-art library, sports hall and swimming pool.

It will also house youth groups, fitness clubs and various council and police services.

Funding is in place so an architect can now begin work on an initial design, likely to include renovation to existing buildings, new construction, and a revised layout of internal roads, landscaping and parking areas.

Wiltshire Council will also be working with the campus team, stakeholders, the wider community, businesses and other organisations to try to ensure the campus is managed effectively and with maximum community involvement.

Over the next few months there will be a number of stakeholder workshops to involve local interest groups in the process.
