A CONTESTANT from Channel 4’s Come Dine With Me in Salisbury is auctioning a leather riding crop seen on the show.

A clip from book dealer and life model Jane Arnold’s evening wis due to be shown at The National Television Awards ceremony at the O2 arena tonight.

The show was nominated in the best daytime programme category and fellow contestants Natasha Conti and Chris Hiller were invited along to the ceremony.

“I’m really, really happy for Natasha and Chris who were invited along but the rest of us were not invited, so I thought I would cheer myself up,” said Ms Arnold.

“The whip was given to me by my best friend and the production crew found it when they came into my house. I just thought there are suddenly going to be hundreds of people seeing it and there are people who like buying memorabilia.”

She has put the item up for auction on eBay and says she plans to take fellow contestants Sophie McConnell and Anthony Brown-Hovelt as well as Miss Conti and Mr Hiller for a night out with any proceeds.
