POLICE in Durrington and Larkhill are reminding motorists not to leave valuables on display following a spate of car break-ins.

A number of cars have been broken into and had property stolen in the last few weeks and police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the thefts to contact them.

Officers are particularly keen to speak to a man who was at the Cross Plain Practice on January 29 and spoke to a woman about a man seen near her car.

A police spokesman said: “Members of the public are urged not to leave any valuables in vehicles. Even if you are only popping to the shop please do not leave a handbag or phone on display.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Amesbury Neighbourhood Policing Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
