EVER wondered what an owl eats?

It could be your chance to find out this half term as Wiltshire Wildlife Trust’s Wildlife Detectives at Langford Lakes on Friday, February 15.

From 10am to noon, visitors will taken on a nature walk to discover who is visiting the reserves and then they can investigate some owl pellets to discover what they've been feasting on over the winter.

Anne Billinge, education officer for the trust, said: “Parents are often stuck for ideas to keep the children occupied during half term, and that’s where we can help. Kids like nothing more than being outdoors, regardless of the weather and our activities are ideal for a great winter’s morning outside. We’ll be dissecting the regurgitated pellets from owls to see what they eat and much more.

“It’s a brilliant day for parents and children to learn more about our wildlife, get some fresh air, and just have family fun.”

Admission is £3.50, with children under 3 free. To book, contact Pam on 01722, 790770 or email pamelac@wiltshirewildlife.org.
