A CAKE sale in Amesbury at the weekend raised £490 for the 10th Salisbury Scouts.

The sale was organised by the group’s chairman Spencer Mulholland, who dressed as a Scout and also had his chest waxed to boost the amount raised.

He said: “We are in awe of people's generosity and we can't thank them enough. I would like to thank everyone who contributed and gave up their time to help, and the local people who supported us by attending and buying our cakes.”
