LIFE-SAVERS in Whiteparish have been recognised for their work in and around the village.
Whiteparish Community First Responders are trained to provide life-saving first aid in the vital minutes between a 999 call and an ambulance arriving at the scene.
Wiltshire Council presented the group with one of the inaugural Southern Wiltshire Community Area Board Volunteering Awards at a ceremony held on Monday. Group member Martin Fisher said: “As volunteers, we are pleased and proud to receive one of the first ever Volunteering Awards.
“As well as the council, we would like to thank the village for its tremendous and continuing support.”
