DETECTIVES investigating an attempted robbery in Verwood are renewing their appeal for witnesses.
The incident happened a month ago in the Morrisons car park on Chiltern Drive at 7.25pm on Friday, January 4.
A 59-year-old woman from Wimborne was getting into her car when she was threatened by a man with a gun.
The victim screamed, causing the offender to flee.
Detective Sergeant Ian Fletcher, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I am now in a position to release an e-fit of a man I am keen to speak with.
“This man was seen at the junction of Bridport Road and Mendip Road in Verwood.
“He is white, in his forties, between five feet 10 inches and six feet tall and of medium build. He has a strong jaw line, was clean shaven and wore a dark woollen hat pulled down to his eyes.
“I need to locate this man to eliminate him from my enquiries. I would urge the man pictured and anyone who recognises him to make contact with Dorset Police.
