YOUNGSTERS who have been travelling the world in their lessons for the last term got to meet a real Masai warrior.
Boniface Ole Mpario, who has been in this country for 20 years and is currently a house husband in Gosport, went to Fordingbridge Infant School and talked to reception children about the various customs of his Kenyan tribe.
Teacher Ros Smith said: “They were really excited to see him in his tribal outfit, and he told them about the jewellery he was wearing and the different roles of men and women in his tribe.
“The deputy head knew someone who knew someone who knew him, and knew he spoke to schools and WIs, so we were able to get him in once we reached Botswana on our imaginary travels for this term’s project.”
