CHILDREN at Chafyn Grove School impressed a West End director with their production of The Sound of Music.
The West End version of the play was performed at the school by children in Years 6, 7 and 8, to a packed audience including triple Olivier Award winning director Timothy Sheader.
The production was directed by the school’s head of drama Emily Toomer and director of music Gary Hill, and all the costumes were made by parent Neil Stace.
Mr Sheader said: “To see so many children harnessed with such imagination and collective spirit was inspiring. There are also a few names I have jotted down, to remember for the future.”
