YOUNGSTERS at Mere School had a visit from their local policeman as part of Police Week.
PC Richard Salter went along to talk to the reception class about his role in the community and to answer some of their many questions.
PC Salter said: “Mere School delivers high quality teaching to an impressionable age group of children, and it is important for the police to engage with them at an early age.
“I can recall such a visit to my own school when I was a child in Salisbury and it left me with a positive impression of the police. I hope to continue this trend.”
