HUNDREDS of students attended a higher education and careers conference at Bishop Wordsworth’s School in Salisbury on February 8.
Fifty universities were represented as well as gap year organisations, information about apprenticeships available locally and employers offering school leaver schemes.
More than 700 students from South Wilts, Godolphin, Burgate, Shaftesbury, Avon Valley and Sarum Academy schools went along for advice and information.
Headteacher Stuart Smallwood said: “It is so important for youngsters from this area to have access to good sources of information so that they can make an informed decision about their future - the higher education fair gave exactly that to over 700 sixth form students this February.”
