COMMUNITY Dental Services in Salisbury is up and running again following a major refurbishment.
The centre was closed in October to allow the work, including improving access for patients with mobility impairments, to take place. Sarah Thomas, clinical director for community dental services at the clinic, in Avon Approach, said: “I am delighted to welcome patients back to our newly refurbished department.
“The refurbishment has seen improvements made to our reception, waiting rooms and clinic rooms creating a better environment for our patients; a new colour scheme has also helped update the rooms and make them brighter.
“We have also greatly improved services and access for patients with mobility impairments. Our newly installed lift, together with wider surgery doors and a ceiling hoist, means that we are able to treat more wheelchair users in Salisbury, making it more convenient and reducing the need for them travel to Amesbury.”
The weekend and bank holiday out of hours service will also be available from the Salisbury site rather than patients having to travel to Amesbury.
