Appeal after Salisbury assault

POLICE are appealing for information about an assault in Salisbury in December.

At 7.15am on December 30 a 55-year-old man was walking along Castle Road near the Co-op store when he was attacked.

The victim was kicked in the leg and punched but didn’t sustain any serious injury. The suspect walked off in the direction of Old Sarum.

A 38-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of assault and subsequently released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Officers would particularly like to speak to a motorist who stopped and spoke to the victim.

Anyone with information can contact local crime investigator Anne King at Salisbury Police Station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
