POLICE are appealing for information after two youths are believed to have broken into a house in North Poulner Road, Ringwood.

At about 2.15pm Wednesday, February 13, the burglars entered the home of a 70-year-old man and took several items.

Stolen goods include a white gold and platinum pair of earrings which are set with diamonds at the front of the loop, a black iPod, a red digital camera, a carton of 200 cigarettes and £45 cash.

Witnesses saw two youths near the scene of the burglary and fleeing along the shore of a nearby lake. Both are described as white, aged in their late twenties, slim and between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall.

The first had short dark hair and wore a blue and cream bomber jacket which looked too big for him. He carried a dark satchel with the strap over his left shoulder.

The second wore as black hoodie and had mousy brown hair.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the pair in North Poulner Road or noticed them fleeing.
