YOUNG people are being encouraged to get out with their cameras or mobile phones to capture winning wildlife shots Dorset Wildlife Trust (DWT) is looking for entries for its monthly photographic competition for under 18s.

Catherine Mason, community conservation officer at Dorset Wildlife Trust, said: “The Pat Dolbear Photographic Award for Young People aims to get young people interested in some of our smaller nature.”

Amazon gift tokens will be awarded to winners. Enter photos at photocomp@dorsetwildlifetrust.org.uk and include your name, age and some detail about when and where the photo was taken.

Students from St Edmund’s School in Salisbury won the January wildlife photography award for images taken on Brownsea Island. Holly Lucas and Hannah Hutchby were among the winners, with Lauren Humphries runner up.
