Plan to use land in Amesbury for parking

AMESBURY Town Council is considering bidding for a plot of land near Lord’s Walk to provide more parking spaces.

Councillors said it would “add value to Amesbury” if more parking was provided near the centre of the town, and they will consider bidding for the land when it comes up for auction in the summer.

Good idea. When the old Co-Op goes,so will all those dozens of cars parked there now,and they will have to park somewhere. Any chance of helping the walkers out trying to negotiate their way along the pavement in front of the Texaco garage, maybe before one or two get knocked over ?
