CHILDREN around the Forest dressed as their favourite characters for World Book Day.
At Fordingbridge Junior School a Very Hungry Caterpillar joined Where’s Wally and Things 1 and 2 to mark the annual celebration of the written word.
Forres Sandle Manor School was magically transported to an imaginary world in its pre-prep department, with everyone from a swashbuckling pirate to Batman joining in the fun.
Head of pre-prep Tracy Spottiswood said: “We live and breathe books and stories and so it is wonderful to have an excuse to fully immerse ourselves in them.
“The children and staff came dressed up as a range of their favourite characters and then were able to buy a book at our book fair as a treat to remember the day.”
The whole school joined in the fun, with librarian Karen Spencer hosting an extremely busy all day book sale.
