THE entire Leehurst Swan School community, from nursery up to Year 11, took part in a pre-marathon challenge run to raise money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Children from Nursery to Year 2 ran or walked a mile while those from Year 3 up to Year 11 completed a 5km challenge. Some were fortunate to experience spring like conditions whilst others had to contend with true cross country conditions.
A spokesman said: “It was amazing to watch so many young children push themselves to help others. Congratulations to all; what an amazing accomplishment. Pupils certainly did rise to the challenge.”
