RUBBISH and recycling will be collected as normal during Easter.
New Forest District Council’s refuse collection teams will work on Easter Friday and Easter Monday, so rubbish can be left out on the usual days.
The district council’s head of environment services Colin Read said: “We are recycling about one-third of our rubbish in the New Forest so I would like to take this opportunity to thank our residents for their efforts.”
Checking the bins
BINMEN are checking the contents of wheelie bins across Hampshire to keep an eye on what people are putting in their rubbish.
Information leaflets will be posted out and notes will be attached to bins of residents who are putting rubbish in the wrong container in a drive to educate residents about recycling avoid contaminating a load.
