POLICE are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a woman from Salisbury who has been missing since Tuesday.

Diane Markin, 68, was last seen at her home on Tuesday lunchtime and did not attend an arranged appointment yesterday morning, which is out of character.

Ms Markin is considered vulnerable and requires medication which she is not believed to have with her.

Wiltshire officers carried out a search with Hampshire Search and Rescue yesterday and searches will continue today. She is described as white, 5ft 6ins tall and of slim to medium build with medium length grey hair.

She was wearing a lightweight blue coat, trousers and black shoes.

Sergeant Simon Cowdrey from Salisbury Police Station said: “We are concerned for Diane and are appealing for anyone who has seen her or knows where she is to contact us urgently.

“We know that Diane often stays in B&Bs and any owners that recognise her are asked to get in touch as they may have important information to assist our search.”

Ms Markin has links to Hampshire and Sussex, particularly the Eastbourne area, and police are appealing for anyone in those areas to come forward if they have seen her.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Wiltshire Police on 101.
