POLICE are appealing for the driver of a white van who was driving on the A342 at Everleigh on May 2 to come forward as he may be an important witness.
Jamie Ottaway, 22, from Ludgershall, died at the scene of the accident, which took place close to a tank crossing at about 2.30pm.
Mr Ottaway was an apprentice at QinetiQ, Boscombe Down, and had won several awards for his work.
He was riding a blue and white Suzuki GSXR motorbike when the crash happened. A silver Mitsubishi Shogun and a black Honda CB1000R motorcycle were also involved in the incident.
The rider of the Honda motorcycle, a 22-year-old from Pewsey, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Police are keen to speak to the driver of the white van, similar to a Transit van, as they believe he may have seen the motorbikes shortly before the accident.
Anyone with information on the accident is asked to contact the Wiltshire Police Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
