A HORSE at Wilton Riding for the Disabled will be kept in style thanks to a local pub and brewery.
The Horseshoe Inn, Ebbesborne Wake is sponsoring skewbald mare Rosie – supplying a year’s worth of food, shoes and dental treatment – after applying to the Palmers Brewery Ale Fund for the money.
“We’ve raised money for the Wilton RDA for more than 20 years,” said landlord Tony Bath. Jacky Follett from the brewery presented the cheque to Carol Carvell of Riding for the Disabled at Home Farm.
accepted the cheque on Rosie’s behalf.
Mrs Carvell said “We’re a large RDA group run by volunteers and we need to raise £70,000 a year to provide facilities for the 200 riders who ride here free of charge. We’re absolutely delighted with this sponsorship, which is typical of the generous and supportive community who help us so much.”
