Wilton Rotary helps community events
THE Rotary Club of Wilton has been hard at work supporting of a number of events in the town over recent weeks.
One of the fundamental Rotary objectives is service to the community and members helped marshal the Walk for Wards in support of Salisbury District Hospital’s Stars Appeal CT Scanner Campaign as wells as the Wilton Horse Trials.
And also turned out in support of the Wilton Classic and Supercar event, while raising funds for the Rotary charities.
Club president Chris Lush said: “It has been hard work, with the Rotarians putting in some long hours, but the impact has been significant and it has all been worthwhile. We feel we are making a difference.”
The club is now preparing itself for another major effort at its annual Mammoth Car Boot Sale on August Bank Holiday Monday, and then the annual Spireworks event on November 3.
