Lonely bouquets make people's day
FLOWERS left in public places in Salisbury as part of Lonely Bouquet Day have been picked up and taken as far away as the USA.
Salisbury Flower Club held the event in June and it has recently heard back from a number of recipients.
The bouquets were made by members of the club and left in parks around the city for anyone to pick up and take home.
A bouquet left in Bourne Hill Gardens went home with the recipient from Pewsey, another was picked up and taken to London and a third was picked up by tourists from the US.
A message to the club’s facebook page said: “Hello from Boston, Massachusetts, USA. I found one of your bouquets during our visit to your lovely town. Customs prevented me from taking the entire bouquet home but I pressed one rose in my book and it made it back to America with me. Great idea – keep up the good work!”
