Event to mark golden glory for school
8:00pm Saturday 7th September 2013 in News
A VILLAGE school is marking its golden anniversary with an open day on Wednesday.
Cranborne Middle School, which started out in 1963 as Cranborne County Secondary Modern, is inviting people to take a trip down memory lane on the day.
Anyone who has had any connection with the school since 1963 is welcome to go along in the morning or between 6.30 and 7.30pm to see how the school has changed over the years.
There will be a display of photos and other memorabilia and the chance to catch up with old friends and see the school in action.
Tours of the school will take place in the morning at 9.45am and 11.10am with each tour lasting around 30 minutes.
Refreshments will be available both during the morning and after the evening tour.
During the afternoon, the opening of a new outdoor classroom will be attended by pupils and staff, followed by a couple of surprises for the pupils.
If you have any memorabilia such as photos or old uniforms you’d be willing to lend the school for the display, email email@example.com with details.
