DID the headline get your attention?

If so, and if you are looking for the gold at the end of the rainbow, then I have to apologise, because I have led you to read this knowing full well there is no magic formula to getting your big break.

The people who tell you “how to make big money using internet marketing”, or “how to make six figure incomes being a coach through six simple steps”

are having you on. Do you know – the way they are making their six-figure income is by charging you hundreds of pounds for the secret to making it big?

They reap the rewards, and you stay poor. I can guarantee it.

There is no magic formula for fame and fortune; just hard work, networking, passion and courage.

Most millionaires have made money, lost money, gone bankrupt and then made their money again.

Qualifications are not the key to success, but then neither is dropping out of school.

I have spent years watching and learning from those who are successful, and networking with influential people (remember we are the sum of the five people we spend the most time with).

While on my journey I have found some real nuggets worth sharing to help me succeed.

Some are my ideas (possibly formed from reading others’ ideas, I doubt they are original), others I have credited: n Let your light shine, no matter what – David Letterman.

* Do what you love – Steven Spielberg.

* Lose your safety net (this was a big one for me, and changed my world).

* Remember, “no stage is too small” – Oprah Winfrey.

* Find a mentor.

* Eighty per cent is good enough – don’t wait until you are 100 per cent ready.

* Work It – Madonna.

* Have the right friends – Mariah Carey.

* Be patient, celebrate the little wins and you will start to see big wins more often.

* Make connections; the more people you know the more opportunities will come your way.

* Be hungry. You must want it, or it won’t happen.

* Believe in yourself. Until you do, others won’t.

If you have an intense burning desire to succeed you will, despite all the odds against you. A word of caution though, making it big has no magic formula, just time, commitment and continuous little wins.
