Find out more about conservation volunteering
PEOPLE who are interested in heritage and conservation are needed to volunteer in the south Wiltshire Area.
And organisations working in and around the Stonehenge World Heritage site will be at a drop-in event being held at Salisbury Guildhall from 10am to 2pm on September 17 by English Heritage so people can find out more about the volunteering opportunities available in the area.
Derek Gard, volunteer coordinator with the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust said: “Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is pleased to be taking part in the second volunteer fair organised by English Heritage. “The event earlier this year was very successful in attracting volunteers to the trust and we are looking forward to a similar response at this event.”
Organisations represented at the event will include Boscombe Down Aviation Centre, English Heritage, The Friends of Arundells, Mere Museum, National Trust, The Rifles (Berkshire & Wiltshire) Museum, Salisbury Cathedral, Salisbury Museum, Wiltshire Museum, Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and the Volunteer Centre, Wiltshire.
