AN extra 50 graves will be created at Ringwood Cemetery after a row of leylandii was removed.
Regular pruning and lopping of the bushes along the boundary with the Ringwood Junior School playing field has proved expensive and members of the town council’s policy and finance committee were told it would be more cost effective to remove them, costing £1,500, and install a chain link fence.
The additional 50 graves will also provide additional income of at least £15,900.
