Big Farm Day Out
JUGGLING, tight-rope walking, stories, crafts and tractor rides were just some of the fun activities on offer at an event organised by Salisbury Churches Together at River Bourne Community Farm at the weekend.
The weather shone for the free Big Farm Day Out on Saturday and more than 1,000 people came along to enjoy the entertainment, which also included a Messy Church barn, face-painting and live music from the Salvation Army Band and St Thomas’s Church choir.
Capt Peter Clark, chairman of Salisbury Churches Together, said: “It was fantastic. There were 20 churches represented and 16 of those had stalls. People came from all around the area, and there was a Prayer Barn where they could receive prayer for all sorts of different things they are facing in their lives.”
The day was themed around the harvest and children enjoyed creating scarecrows in the Messy Barn.
Barbecues provided refreshments and Christian clown Roly Bain was enjoyed by many.
