Trafalgar teachers take on Tough Mudder
TEACHERS from the Trafalgar School at Downton have taken on the notorious Tough Mudder challenge to raise money for local charity Help for Heroes.
Jon Godfrey, Dan Anson, Mark Whitlock, Mailys Mardon, Abigail Uglow and Anna Crabb persuaded their partners to sign up with them for the event, which involves 10 to 12 miles of running and lots of obstacles in a test of strength, stamina, mental grit and camaraderie.
The group took part in the south west event in Powys, Wales and hope to organise a Mini Mudder at the school for the students to get involved in.
Ms Crabb said: “Tough Mudder was the toughest but most rewarding experience of my life. This was a test of our physical and mental strength: each one of us faced a fear and overcame it. At the centre of this challenge was the knowledge that we were raising money for Help for Heroes and we feel so proud that our effort is supporting our brave soldiers.”
The team has raised £240 so far. To support them go to justgiving.com/trafalgarmudders.
