TOP Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson features in a new game app launched today by forces charity Help for Heroes.

The charity is hoping the app in support of wounded soldiers will break records as the fastest downloaded app in British techno history.

The Hero Bears game features two army bears carrying a wounded bear over an obstacle course, avoiding pitfalls and collecting tokens along the route.

And there are videos of Jeremy Clarkson and Lorraine Kelly thanking users for their support.

The app is being launched with social media platform Thunderclap.

And co-ordinated Twitter and Facebook activity is designed to kickstart downloads of the app from the Apple store, Amazon and Google play.

The application development has been donated to the charity by Appy Nation and Supersonic Software and is available for £1.99.

A donation of £1 is made to Help for Heroes from the sale.

The app is the brain-child of Bryn Parry, co-founder of Help for Heroes.

A former professional cartoonist, Mr Parry drew the iconic hero bear characters used in the app.
