1:00pm Tuesday 5th November 2013 in News
A NEW community pharmacy has opened in Fordingbridge.
The team at LloydsPharmacy at 1 Salisbury Street is one of the first in the UK to offer the chain’s new approach to community health, aiming to improve access to healthcare information and support.
The ribbon was cut by Ann Hickman, chairman of the Friends of Fordingbridge Hospital.
As part of the transformation, the pharmacy now offers free, enhanced services for a range of conditions including skin health and pain management.
Pharmacy manager Wendy Conlon said: “The new skin analyser is a great addition to the services we offer. It looks at several different features, including hydration and elasticity, using scientific probes and a micro-camera.
“The results then help us to recommend the most suitable care routines and products.”
Many staff have worked with LloydsPharmacy for a number of years. Ms Conlon has worked at the store for 11 years, Angie Dibdin and May Champney for 14 years, Shirley Harries, 12 years, Sue Burt, 11 years and pharmacist Phil Woods for eight years.
