Volunteers needed for disabilities charity

VOLUNTEERS are needed to paint Dorset’s Diverse Abilities family centre in West Moors.

Some 100 people across the county volunteer for Diverse Abilities Plus, which supports children and adults with profound physical and/or learning disabilities, and their families.

But more volunteers are always needed to help with projects including gardening at the charity’s school, attending fundraising events and working on the charity’s stall or collecting funds. Help is also needed in caring for people supported in their homes or on trips out and about, to work in the central office and undertake admin duties or make craft items or cakes for seasonal fairs.

Sarah Harrison, volunteer and recruitment manager at Diverse Abilities Plus, said: “No matter what your age or ability, there will be something that is perfect for you.”

If you can help, call 01202 718266. For further information visit www.diverseabilitiesplus.org.uk.
