A CLAY shoot raised £400 to help wounded servicemen and women.
Hector Merryweather and The Spitfire Shoot in Stockbridge arranged the day to raise money for the Pilgrim Bandits charity.
The Pilgrim Bandits was established by a small group of Special Forces veterans in 2007 to help and inspire wounded soldiers to live life to the full.
The charity also works with young people and funds research into scientific and engineering advances in prosthetic limbs.
Eight teams from across the south entered the competition, and £400 was raised through sponsorship, a raffle and shooters’ contributions.
The winning team was Barclays Agribusiness from Southampton and Top Gun was won by Tom Redshaw from Stockbridge.
Amanda Foster of Hector Merryweather said: “I am very pleased with the support from both shooters and sponsors, and the amount we raised.
“We were blessed with great weather, great company and a rewarding afternoon.”
Another shoot is being planned for Easter 2014.
