SALISBURY City's Alex Haddow came close to helping England secure their first international Futsal victory in this week's two friendly matches with France in Sheffield.
England lost the two games 2-4 and then 1-2 against a French side considerably higher than them in the world rankings.
Haddow had forced the French 'keeper to make a stunning save to deny him a late goal.
In the first game, England had led 2-0 before going down 4-2.
Coach Graeme Dell admitted a number of players had given him food for thought as he prepares to name his next squad for next month's pre-qualifying tournament in Romania, ahead of the UEFA Championships.
