A MAN was left needing hospital treatment after an attempted robbery in Tidworth.

Police are appealing for information after the 32-year-old local man was pushed against a fence by a man who then held a sharp implement to his face.

The incident happened on the footpath between St Andrew’s Road and Lowa Road in the early hours of Sunday, December 29.

The victim was pushed into the perimeter fence of Tidworth Camp and was told to empty his pockets. A second man stood watching while the incident happened, and when the victim had nothing in his pockets the two ran off together towards St Andrew’s Road.

The victim was left shaken by the incident and had to go to hospital to be treated for a cut to his face.

The first man is described as white, 5ft 11, with short, dark, messy hair and stubble. He was of average build, in his late 20s to early 30s and was wearing a black coat and dark jeans.

The second was white, a few inches taller and slightly younger, of slim build and wearing a dark coloured top, blue jeans and white trainers.
