THE second annual Grand Quiz in aid of Salisbury Hospice Charity will take place next month.

Following the success of last year’s quiz, tickets are selling well and organisers say it promises to be an entertaining evening.

Celia Scott, fundraiser at Salisbury Hospice Charity said: “We are delighted that Richard Hilliard has once again generously volunteered to produce the quiz and be quizmaster.

“With plenty of audio-visual questions thrown in by his partner in crime and technical whizz, Roddy Gye, Richard’s quizzes are a mixture of current affairs and general knowledge, trivial and serious, ancient and modern, local and international - somewhere between Trivial Pursuit and Mastermind.”

The evening, on February 7 in the Guildhall, will begin with a champagne welcome, sponsored by Chesterton Humberts, with the quiz starting at 7.30pm.

Teams are made up of up to eight players and a mix of local businesses and individuals are welcomed.

Supper is served during the interval and the evening finishes with the presentation of the winners’ prizes and certificates.
