A BUBBLE disco for children is being held in Salisbury on Thursday, Janaury 23 to raise money for the Lucy's Days Out charity.

The Bluez 'n' Zuz UV & Bubble Disco will be open to youngsters aged 11 to 16 and there is a purple dress code. It is taking place at The Chapel Nightclub from 7pm to 9pm.

Lucy's Days Out was set up by the family of Lucy Page to provide families with seriously ill children with fun days out.

Lucy died in September 2010 after a six-year battle with cancer and her dying wish was to set up a local charity to help other families like hers. She would have been celebrating her 16th birthday on Friday.

Wiltshire Police run the Bluez 'n' Zuz events throughout the year to help build a better relationship between young people and the police and reduce antisocial behaviour.

Tickets for the event cost £2.50, to include a donation to Lucy's Days Out, and there will also be a prize draw.

There will be free Wilts & Dorset bus services from South Newton at 6.15pm, Wilton Market Place at 6.20pm, Pembroke Road at 6.25pm, Bemerton Heath at 6.30pm, Westwood Road opposite Sarum Academy at 6.32pm, Gainsborough Close opposite Spar at 6.37pm and from the Gas Lane bus stop in Salisbury at 6.45pm.
