Lorry stuck under bridge in Fisherton Street

First published in News by

A LORRY stuck under the railway bridge in Fisherton Street this morning is causing a build up of traffic in the area.

The articulated lorry became stuck just after 10am causing delays at St Paul’s roundabout and Fisherton Street.

Traffic controls are in place while the lorry is being recovered. A second lorry broke down under the bridge yesterday afternoon at about 4.40pm.

The road was closed for a short time while the lorry was fixed and the road was cleared by 5pm.

I disagree with this comment, everyone makes mistakes, and I'm sure the lorry driver was very embarrassed and sorry for having made this one. I'm sure he or she will learn for the future.

Much of the blame lies with the city planners who decided to locate an industrial estate in an area with very restricted road access.
