Care homes are meeting standards
WATCHDOGS have given the thumbs up to residential services for people with learning disabilities run by Wiltshire Council.
A report reveals that the Care Quality Commission, the official independent regulator, has inspected and approved the three homes run by the council, as well as its adult placement service based at Bourne Hill in Salisbury.
The homes include Bradbury House, a single-storey property in Old Sarum that is registered to support ten people with varying needs. The adult placement service arranges respite and short stays and was inspected on November 28 last year. It met all essential standards.
Bradbury House was inspected on April 24 last year and met the required standards in cleanliness and infection control, management of medicines and records.
The report says the shortcomings in record-keeping identified in an inspection the previous January had been addressed.
