PEOPLE in the region are being warned more flooding is possible as more than an inch of rain could fall on the south west over the next few days.
The Met Office has issued more weather warnings for south west England, including Wiltshire, Dorset and Gloucestershire.
And more strong winds are due to hit tonight and tomorrow morning.
Amber warnings of rain are in place for tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday, with gales also expected and snow possible over higher ground. Villages along the rivers running through Salisbury and the surrounding area already have flooding problems with warnings in place on the River Wylye from Wilton to Warminster; the Rover Bourne at Southampton Road, Salisbury, Tidworth and Shipton Bellinger; and the River Avon in Fordingbridge, Ringwood, Christchurch, from Amesbury to Salisbury and in Salisbury’s Cathedral Close.
