I SAW a most enjoyable pantomime last Friday at St Mark’s Church in Salisbury.

It was Snow White and the Seven Hoodies, written and presented by Steve McAuliffe and members of the Alabaré Happy Mondays Writing Workshop Group.

Everyone played their parts extremely well. Jim Patton was outstanding as the Evil Queen, with Amy Henstridge an impressive Sergeant Doe. The costumes, made by Marilyn Evans, Margaret Beaven, Thelma Claydon and helpers were excellent, and suitably sparkly. Caroline Evans made an adorable Bambi in her ingenious costume.

I have never enjoyed a pantomime so much, and it was a truly enchanting evening.
