POWER outages, fallen trees and floods hit south Wiltshire over the weekend.
About 4,800 homes in rural areas around Salisbury suffered power outages on Saturday, with 176 homes still without power last night.
Flood warnings remain in place across the county, with more rain expected today and tomorrow.
Wiltshire Council and its partners have been working to tackle flooding and clear fallen trees and debris, and support the most vulnerable.
The council’s highways team received 400 calls over the weekend, most to report fallen trees.
Motorists are being urged to drive safely and sensibly, and warned not attempt to move road closures or drive through roads which have been closed due to flooding.
People are being asked to let the council’s adult social care teams know if they are concerned about any vulnerable people affected by power outages, flooding, or any other issues following the bad weather, on 0300 456 0100. For the latest flood warning information, visit environment-agency.gov.uk.
