CODE-CRACKING, map reading, sums and symbols were top of the agenda as Avon Valley College in Durrington held an orienteering festival on Friday.
The event was for children from local primary schools who completed various challenges in order to find the right flag or cone on a map.
Year 10 BTEC and PE students from Avon Valley officiated at the festival by handing out the maps or marking the answer sheets.
A spokesman said: “They all did a fantastic job. In total 100 pupils took part in the event and had a great time despite the poor weather.”
The top school overall was Larkhill Primary, with the top pair Lucas Grigor-Ramsey and Jamie Sanders followed by Sophie Mattingley and Bethany Marr.
