RINGWOOD’S Cancer Research shop has been reopened after a complete overhaul.
The shop, which also celebrates 25 years of being in the town this year, was shut for a week while it was given a total makeover, with new fittings and fixtures from top to bottom.
Manager Shanie Brown said it turned the store into a “premium” shop, offering higher-quality goods.
To celebrate the re-opening, the chairman of New Forest District Council, Christine Ford, was invited along to cut the ribbon.
Shanie said: “It’s given our shop a complete uplift.
“It’s a very ‘boutique’ feel now.
“We’re absolutely over the moon, it looks great and it’s great for the volunteers to have a nice working environment – it encourages more people to volunteer as well.
“It’s been so successful, I’m so chuffed.
“I’ve worked for Cancer Research for 18 years and to be involved in something like this is just great.
“Some of our volunteers have been here since the shop opened.”
