A NEW headteacher has been appointed at Trafalgar School at Downton.
Stewart Roderick will take over from Jenny Lawrie, who is leaving the post after 12 years, on April 22.
Mr Roderick is currently deputy headteacher at the John Hanson Community School in Andover.
He said: “I feel very fortunate indeed, to have been given the headteacher role at The Trafalgar School at such an exciting stage of the school’s development.
“I look forward to seeing the impact of the International Baccalaureate and Middle Years Programme on student learning and the impact it has on their GCSE results. I relish the challenge of exploring the development of sixth form provision at this hardworking, friendly and progressive school.”
