STUDENTS and staff at Wiltshire College Salisbury have donated a collection of their artwork to a charity auction raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The event has been organised by the Student Union as part of Rag Week, which starts on Monday.

The artwork, which includes paintings, photography, digital artwork and sculptures produced by a mixture of students who already receive commission for their work and those looking for their big break, will be previewed at Gallery 21 in Queen Street, from Monday to Thursday from 6pm to 8pm.

Yasmin Gooch, who is president of the Student Union at the Salisbury campus, said: “We wanted to reach out this year and show the community how amazing our students are and make connections with local businesses.

“I am so grateful to Gallery 21 for collaborating with us and it goes to show how strong community spirit still is.”

The auction takes place on Thursday evening and it is hoped the event will raise £1,000.
