THERE were celebrations on Tuesday as the Trussell Trust furniture shop in Salisbury marked its first birthday.
The charity opened a second hand furniture shop in the city last year in order to raise essential funds to help more people have access to its emergency foodbanks.
The shop is near the household recycling centre in Stephenson Road, Churchfields Industrial Estate, and provides a charitable alternative for people who are throwing out good quality unwanted items.
It also seeks to help those in need by selling low priced but good quality furniture, electrical and household items. The shop is open from Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.
